Diplomatic and Service visa applies to Australian dignitaries, governmental officials and foreign nationals who wish to travel to Iran either in connection with their official visit (invitation by Iran) or to take over their permanent/temporary diplomatic/administrative assignment in a diplomatic/consular Mission or an international organization.

To lodge an application for a Diplomatic and Service Visa for the Islamic Republic of Iran, the following requirements must be observed:

• Fill in two (2) visa application forms
• Attach two (2) recent passport photographs
• An official verbal note by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
• Career resume including education and all employment
• Full itinerary if available
• Intended date of travel & length of stay
• Status sought ( diplomat/administration & technical/service staff/consular officer/consular employee )
• The applicant’s passport, which must be valid for at least 6 months
